 Fall Consignment Sale

Fall Consignment Sale

The 4CCN Fall Consignment Sale was once more a success!  A special thank you to all of the families who helped with this year’s sale. We appreciate all of your dedication, hard work, and volunteer efforts.

Also, thanks to Regina Parks who did the accounting for the sale. Our total sales grossed $11,000.  The money raised for the sale funds important school items such as our beautiful playground equipment and maintenance, in- house field trips, and classroom equipment. Also, many of the remaining items that did not sell were donated to different amazing local organizations.

What a great feeling for all of us to come together as a school community to make such a large event occur that ultimately benefits all of our children as well as our greater community. We hope you enjoyed meeting new people. 4CCN is a fantastic community!

Our Spring sale is scheduled for the week of April 16-20, 2018. It never hurts to get started tagging early, so if you just consigned with us, let us know if you want to keep your code.

Andrea Altuner and Laura Stewart, co-chairs

I personally would like to thank Andrea & Laura for all of their hard work. They ran a well-organized and smooth sale. Thanks to all of the families who volunteered for the sale. It is a huge undertaken but with everyone’s efforts the sale continues to be a success. Thanks to all!

Open House Dates and 4CCN Registration

4 Corners Community Nursery will have Open House days on Wednesday, November 29th and Wednesday, January 24th 9:30– 11:00 am. If you are interested in helping 4CCN with tours of our space, please let me know. We need about 6 volunteers to take small groups of families around to the different classrooms.

Registration for in-house families will begin on Monday, January 8th, alumni registration beginning on January 30th and community registration will be on Friday, February 9th.  Registration forms for in-house families will go home after winter break.

 Dressing for Cold Weather

As the cold weather approaches in November, please remember to dress your child for outdoor play.  We will continue to go outside to play in the winter months.

Please send your children to school with hats, mittens, warm coats, etc. Make sure every piece is labeled with your child’s name.  It is also important your child wears appropriate shoes to school. Please send your children to school with sturdy, close-toed shoes.

4CCN Emergency Evacuation Procedures

4 Corners Community Nursery is required by the State of Maryland to practice their emergency preparedness procedures.  Each month we have a fire drill and evacuate the building.  The children know exactly what to do when they hear the fire bell sound.  In the event that we need to evacuate the building, we would shelter at Young Israel (next door) or Forest Knolls Elementary.

2017-2018 Room Parents

We have a few vacancies.  If you are willing to take on the role of a room parent for your class, that would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks to those of you who are volunteering!  Room parents coordinate holiday and end of the year gifts for the teachers.  Sometimes the teacher may need the room parent to coordinate some other class activity.
